Problem
EW430 version 2.21B hangs when compiling certain files.

Reason
EW14715 : A loop that accesses a volatile variable can make the compiler hang on optimization level medium and high.

Solution
Download a corrected ICC430 (version 2.21B-P1) from a link to the right. The .zip archive contains all installation information you need.

(Note that this update is of no use unless you already have an EW430 2.21B installed.)

We have 3 different versions of the compiler so you have to download the correct one depending on what product you have.
1. EW430 and EW430-LE (it is the same compiler)
2. EW430-CPP (C++ version)
3. EW430-BL (Baseline version with size limitation)
If you have a EW430-KS (Kickstart version with size limitation) then you should contact Texas Instruments.
